Freedom with responsibility.
We need the freedom to question, choose, and follow our conscience, alongside the courage to take responsibility for what we do with that freedom.
I’m Stephan Winter, a chef and writer based in Vienna. I explore faith, freedom, and responsibility—and develop projects that help people connect and support one another.

I want faith, family, and community to help people become wiser, more capable, and more loving. That means taking conscience seriously—and building relationships and institutions that earn our trust.
We need the freedom to question, choose, and follow our conscience, alongside the courage to take responsibility for what we do with that freedom.
Our ideals find their meaning in how we care for one another: in families, friendships, everyday support, and the work we choose to do.
People should have the space to contribute, build, and cooperate. Authority should be accountable, and participation should leave room for independent thought.
In my essays for Unbound Inheritors, I explore faith, freedom, and how to live well. Through the Unification Matters Platform, I help people discuss their experiences and consider what comes next. With Connect Together and a proposed member marketplace, I’m developing practical ways for people to meet, help one another, and create something of their own.
In Unbound Inheritors, my essay publication, I ask how faith and community can help us live well. My research into the Unification movement examines how its teachings and institutions affect people’s freedom, choices, and responsibilities.
Here are my current projects, the shared initiatives I contribute to, and the family responsibilities behind them. Open each entry to learn more.
Find company for the things you already want to do. Playdates, shared meals, practical help, and small projects that turn nearby acquaintances into people you can turn to.
A network and marketplace for the wider Unification community: discover services, books, and courses, find collaborators, and get help bringing your own project to life.
My essay publication on faith, meaning, and personal responsibility. I examine the beliefs we inherit and ask how they can help us live wisely, love well, and make our own considered choices.
A discussion platform for people reflecting on the Unification movement. I help organize its conversations, prepare publications, and explore directions for its next year.
I research how the Unification movement is led, how its teachings affect members, and how communities could give people a greater voice in decisions that shape their lives.

My wife, Diana, is living with advanced breast cancer, and we are facing the end of her life. I’m caring for her while raising our young son and preparing for the responsibility of bringing him up without her.
My priority is to be present for them both: to care for Diana with love and dignity, and to give our son the love, security, and support he needs.
The proposed network would bring independent member initiatives together, with the marketplace as one way to discover and support them. Creators would own their projects. Members could keep their own affiliations and convictions, with no faction controlling access or opportunity. My other projects and contributions remain separate initiatives.
I’m a chef, writer, and father living in Vienna. I grew up in the Unification movement. That experience has shaped both my commitment to family and community and my questions about faith, authority, and personal responsibility.
What does it mean to live well? How do we honor what is valuable in our faith while taking responsibility for our own judgment? How can families and communities become places where people grow in love, capability, and freedom?
Questions about God and conscience matter to me because they affect how we treat people and the choices we make. I explore them in my essays and discussions, and through projects that help people build relationships and offer their skills to others.
I enjoy a good coffee, a game of basketball, traveling, painting, and meeting new people. Cooking is my profession, and bringing people together is a thread that runs through the rest of my life, too.
What I hope to contributeI want to help people think for themselves, find people they can rely on, and turn their abilities into something useful for others.
